I already left Japan. Is it too late?
Not if it has been less than two years since you stopped being a resident. Send us your leaving date and we will check the exact deadline for you.
I lost my pension book. Can you still file?
Yes. We can trace your basic pension number from your employer records and your residence card. It adds about two weeks.
Do I pay before or after the refund arrives?
The fee is due when we file. It is flat, so you always know the amount before you commit. We do not take anything from the refund itself.
Can you talk to my employer for me?
Yes, in Japanese. Most missing withholding slips are one phone call to a payroll office.
